I saw a recent post on Facebook from Greg Bunch featuring his BoxTopper tripod adapter, and decided to purchase one to test it. I had it out this weekend with my recently acquired black faced Six-20 Brownie Junior box camera.

The BoxTopper is a sturdy, versatile platform with a tripod socket and 4 adjustable bumpers to stabilize the camera laterally. It also comes with two strips of Velcro to prevent the camera from coming dislodged vertically. The construction is very solid, and I really like the fact that it has a built in spirit level. Greg's website provides very detailed instructions for how to use the BoxTopper and he is absolutely correct to recommend that you always use the Velcro strips. I've been looking for something like this for quite a while to help stabilize cameras that don't have a tripod socket and this is just the ticket.

Ordering was very easy and Greg does a wonderful job communicating throughout the order and delivery process. I'm very pleased with the quality of this product and it has opened up so many possibilities for using my old box cameras.
