While it's best to avoid placing clamps in front of the camera, they are far enough off to the side to be out of the pictures, given the relatively narrow field of view of the Brownie's 65mm lens. Note that the BoxTopper has its #2 (wide) side to the rear, due to this camera's width. Besides the clamps, the Brownie is also securely held by a hook and loop strap over the top, with its own strap serving as a safety line.
